Cuatro Villas MDWUA — 500,000-Gallon Regional Storage Tank
Cuatro Villas MDWUA · La Puebla, NM
Serving the four communities of La Puebla, El Valle de Arroyo Seco, Cuarteles, and Sombrillo in northern Santa Fe County, this regional project replaced an aging 20,000-gallon tank to provide clean, dependable water, fire-flow storage, and improved system hydraulics. The improvement consisted of a new AWWA D110 Type 3 pre-stressed concrete tank partially buried in La Puebla, approximately 435 LF of 12-inch waterline, a passive mixing system, tank level controls, and a new booster-station bypass with pressure-reducing valves. The broader regional program secured approximately $10.5 million in planning, design, and construction funding, including USDA Rural Development funding.
